*SCARCE SMITH & WESSON 3RD MODEL LADYSMITH DA REVOLVER. SN 21559. Cal. 22 Long. Blue finish with 3″ bbl, integral half moon front sight with notch in frame rear sight. It has 7-shot cylinder with case colored hammer & trigger & is mounted with smooth, deep gold medallion walnut grips. These dainty little revolvers were made in period 1910-1921 & were designed to appeal to the ladys’ market & were reasonably successful in so doing. Although several thousand of this model were produced, few survive today unaltered with orig finish. PROVENANCE: Dr. Frank Miller Estate Collection. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine, all matching except grips which are unnumbered. Overall retains 95-96% strong glossy orig factory blue with some light rubs on left side of bbl & flaking on back strap. Trigger & hammer retain most of their orig case colors, brilliant on hammer & sheltered areas of trigger. Grips show very light wear with a few minor scratches.
