*RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 42 PIGEON GRADE WITH FACTORY VENT RIB. SN 134038. Cal. .410, 26″ bbl with doughnut base round post vent rib, red Bradley front and silver center sighting beads, SKEET choke and 3″ chamber. Left side of bbl marked “WINCHESTER – MODEL 42 – 410 – 3IN. CHAM. / TRADEMARK – MADE IN U.S.A. – WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”. “SKEET” and WP proof mark are adjacent receiver ring. Matching WP proof on receiver left side of rib extension. Bbl extension is engraved with standing pigeon. Standard receiver with narrow rib extension, jeweled bolt and follower. Mounted with highly figured flame-grain walnut, checkered pistol grip with single blank diamond, Winchester hard rubber grip cap, Winchester hard rubber buttplate, skeet forend with checkered side panels with dbl blank diamonds. Bore measurements are NA. Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, Drop at comb: 1-5/8″, Weight: 6lbs. 6oz., LOP 14-1/4″. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Gun appears new and test-fired only. Metal surfaces retain virtually all of their blue finish with sharp edge of slide-bar starting to silver. There are a couple of minor tiny handling marks. Stock is sound with sharp checkering, a couple of minor handling marks and retains it high-gloss finish. Forend is sound with sharp checkering, some minor handling marks and retains its high-gloss finish.
