Oil on canvas scene shows a woman with child walking a path from their farmhouse which is in the distance under a grove of trees with mountain beyond. She is approaching a small stream which leads to the mill with connected buildings and waterwheel under tall trees. Signed lower right and dated “1860”. Housed in a gold gesso decorated frame.
