REMINGTON MODEL 1890 SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 228. Nickel finish with 7-1/2” rnd bbl with “REMINGTON ARMS CO., ILION, N.Y.” address and “44.C.F.W.” on left side of frame. It has 2-pc hard rubber grips with the Remington script logo at top and a stud and ring in buttstrap. This is one of 2,020 Model 1890’s built in period 1891-1896. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine. Overall retains 95-96% strong orig nickel with slight muzzle edge wear and some fine pitting in sheltered area on ejector rod housing and some very fine pimpling on right side of frame. There is a small cut on left side of bbl. Cyl has a couple of small areas of flaking with some fine pitting. Left grip has a small chip on front edge, otherwise grips are fine, show moderate wear and are beginning to turn chocolate. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore with scattered light pitting.
