JOHN HENRY TWACHTMAN (American, 1853-1902) “MAINE LANDSCAPE”. Fine watercolor landscape scene shows a horse drawn hay wagon heaped with a large load of hay crossing a field toward some trees and water. Signed lower right “J. H. Twachtman”. Housed in a fine gilt carved wood frame with white matte and inner gold liner. Back having a Kennedy Galleries’ Inc. New York, New York label indicating it was in the 1971 DWG Show #44. Also having an exhibition label from the American Federation of Arts, New York, New York in the 100 years of American Realism – Watercolors and Pastels from the Paul Magriel Collection. Catalog 73.
