ALEXANDER VOLKOV (Russian/American, 1960-) “MEMORY OF ST. PETERSBURG”. Reverse oil on glass scene shows street scene with buildings against a teal colored sky. This scene is as close to a photographic image as one could expect. It is signed lower left “A. Volkov 1991”. This painting was used as the frontice piece for a brochure of his exhibition called “Beyond the Turning”. Volkov moved to Flemington, NJ from Leningrad, Russia in 1990.
