UNIDENTIFIED MODEL 1842 MUSKET. NSN. Cal. 69. 42” rnd bbl. Missing lock and screws. “NH” is stamped on the left side of bbl. This has been stamped twice, giving an appearance of shadow letters. “JAS” cartouche on left side of stock. CONDITION: Smooth gray patina on the metal parts with scattered light pitting, heavier at the breech. Wood has sharp edges and no signs of use. Someone has attempted to install a lockplate with a tit on the rear, causing an indention to the wood. 4-58267 FS14 (1,000-1,500)
