*SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MODEL 1911 SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. Standard 1911 with 5” bbl, narrow front sight and square rear sight. It has usual slide markings with flaming bomb at the rear of the slide and on the left side of the frame with “U.S. Property” on the left forward side of the frame and a small American eagle on the right side of the slide. SN 78370. CONDITION: Good to very good. The slide retains 30-40% dull original blue with the balance brown patina. The frame retains 15-20% blue with the balance patina and the grip frame silver/gray. Grips are very fine with some minor mashed diamonds and may be old original equipment replacements. Bbl, bushing, slidelock, thumb safety and springcap are replacement Colt parts. The hammer, grip safety and other parts appear to be original. The magazine is a WWI flat bottom, two-tone in fair condition. Bright shiny bore, dark in the grooves. 4-49636 JR335 (1,000-1,500)
