*RARE LONG BBLED 3RD GENERATION COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 30 Carb. SN SA35290a. Most unusual single action with factory 10″ bbl with standard front sight, block lettering on the top of the bbl and the caliber marking “30 CAL. M-1 CARB” on the left side of the bbl. The rest of the revolver is normal appearing with blued cylinder and grip frame, case colored frame and rampant Colt, Eagle, hard rubber grips. It is accompanied by a letter on Don Wilkerson letterhead dated 23 April 1987 which states that this is one of only five revolvers in this caliber, that it was originally shipped as a Model P-1640 in 357 Magnum with 4-3/4″ bbl, that it was shipped to the customer for inspection and then returned to the factory and converted to its present caliber. The cylinder is numbered to the revolver and has the earlier style removable cylinder bushing. The bore has six lands & grooves with left hand twist. CONDITION: Extremely fine, near new. Retains virtually all of its bright orig factory finish with no discernable wear & only slight fading of the case colors on the left recoil shield with the balance of the case colors brilliant.
