*SCARCE 1ST YEAR OF PRODUCTION COLT SUPER 38 GOVERNMENT MODEL SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. SN 1867. Cal. 38 Super. Blue finish with 5″ bbl, fixed sights & full checkered walnut grips. Magazine is a post-war Colt replacement. Accompanied by an extremely well made commercial version of the venerable military government model holster with a long drop belt loop as well as a fixed belt loop on back of holster. Few of these fine pre-war super 38’s survive unaltered in any condition. CONDITION: Fine. Slide retains 80-85% orig blue with muzzle & sharp edge wear & some thinning on top. Frame retains about 80% orig blue, strong & bright on sides, thin towards front end with a gray front strap & arched spring housing. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore.
