*RARE PARKER VHE GRADE WITH 32″ BARRELS. SN 185242. Cal. 20 ga. 32″ bbls, matted tapered concave rib with sgl silver sighting bead, 2-3/4″ chambers, IMP CYL/MOD choke, dbl triggers and ejectors. Top rib marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS.MERIDEN.CT.U.S.A. VULCAN STEEL”. “O” size receiver has minimal zig-zag border engraving and “PARKER BROS” on each side. Mounted with straight grain walnut, checkered pistol grip, Parker hard rubber grip cap, Parker dog’s head hard rubber buttplate, blank gold initial shield, checkered splinter forend. SN of this gun is not found in the “Parker Serialization” book. Bore diameter: left – .620, right – .620. Bore restrictions: left – .011, right – .008. Wall thickness: left – .029, right – .030. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. 11 oz. LOP 14″. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 85-90% orig thinning blue with some wear at muzzle, thinning and blending with patina in carrying area, minor nicks and scratches and a small area on left bbl from chemical that is blending with blue/brown patina. Receiver retains 20-25% orig color, mostly in protected areas, with balance blending with silver patina. Trigger guard has flaked and blended to silver patina. Stock is sound with hairline crack behind top tang and on left side near end of trigger guard. Professionally re-cut checkering, a few minor handling marks in a professional, factory quality restored finish. Forend is sound with professionally freshened checkering, a few minor handling marks in a professional, factory quality restored finish. Mechanics are crisp with non-automatic safety, strong ejectors, shiny bores with a couple very shallow scattered pits. 4-40164 BDT31 (5,000-7,000)
