R. LALIQUE POWDER BOX. R. Lalique powder box done for D’Orsay is impressed on the lid with three dancing nude maidens surrounded by a leafy wreath. Body of the box is impressed with horizontal bands of leaves and vines. Also impressed on the side of the box is “D’Orsay”. Signed on the underside with raised block letters “R. Lalique France” and stamped with black ink “Towours Fidele Peach”. The box is finished with a light brown patination. SIZE: 3-3/4″ dia x 1-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-69215 (350-500)
