UNSIGNED (European, Circa 1900) GODDESS OF WINE. Modeled as a female seated nude wearing a crown of grape vines, clutching a goblet in her left hand, supporting her resting head. She grasps a cluster of grapes in her extended right hand. Her legs are crossed, left leg against a spilled wine vessel. She is reclining against a leafy knoll on a discarded robe, the whole raised on a socle. SIZE: 15-1/2″ h x 13-1/2″ w overall x 11-1/2″ d overall. CONDITION: Retains original surfaces with fine dark brown patina. Her head is seamed at the neck and is separated along this seam. Otherwise very good overall. 9-98628 (1,500-2,500)
