CHARLOTTE PIEPENHAGEN-MOHR (Czech 1821-1902) THE RIVER RAFTERS. Oil on canvas scene shows a large raft with small fire having four men poling the river. The evening scene is lit by a partial full moon behind clouds. Signed lower left and date 1861. Housed in its original gold gesso decorated frame with gold lining. SIZE: 10″ x 17″. CONDITION: Large patch to reverse with some inpainting, craquelure, good. 9-26395 (1,000-2,000)
