*PARKER DHE GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 133780. Cal. 16ga, 28″ bbls, matted, tapered concave rib, silver front and brass center sighting beads, CYL/CYL chokes, 2-9/16″ chambers, ejectors and single selective trigger. Top rib is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDAN. CONN. TITANIC STEEL”. The “1” size frame is standard D engraved with pointer on left, setter on right, 4 game birds on trigger plate, ribbon with “PARKER BROS.” on each side and balance a foliate scroll. Mounted with lightly figured walnut, side panels with spear tip drop points, checkered pistol grip with Parker hard rubber grip cap, black Pachmayr vented recoil pad, 1/2″ of alternating black & white spacers, blank initial oval and custom, checkered beavertail forend. Bore diameter: left -..662, right -.663. Bore restrictions: left -.002, right -.002. Wall thickness: left -.033, right -.035. Drop at heel:2-3/8″, drop at comb:1-1/2. Weight: 7lbs. 6oz. LOP 12-3/4″. Bbl flat carries a Remington date code “WE” for August 1936. Accompanied with unmarked brown leather leg o mutton case. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 90% orig blue with minor muzzle wear, a few minor nicks & scratches, rub mark from forend and slight wear at chamber end. Receiver retains traces of thinning orig case color mostly in protected areas with balance blending a silver patina. Trigger guard has some orig blue flaking and blending with brown patina and silvering through grip area. Stock is sound with normal nicks, dings & scratches, good checkering, and retains a coat of professionally added finish. Forend is sound with sharp checkering, normal nicks & dings and retains a custom oil finish. Bbls are slightly loose without forend and slightly off face. Mechanics are good with automatic safety, strong ejectors with decent bores with a couple small, shallow pits. Case is in fair condition, missing carrying strap, broken lock strap, unstitched hinge strap and numerous scuffs to exterior. 4-39864 BDT63 (3,000-5,000)
