*BEAUTIFUL BROWNING OLYMPIAN GRADE BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 8P44634. Beautiful sporting rifle with 22-1/2″ stepped round bbl, made without sights, having a French gray Mauser receiver, trigger guard & floorplate with French gray crossbolt. Bolt is chromed & trigger gold plated. Receiver, trigger guard, floorplate & crossbolt are beautifully engraved with large game scenes of an elk on left side of front receiver ring and an antelope on right side with foliate arabesque patterns elsewhere which also extend 2″ up the bbl. Floorplate has full coverage game scene of a whitetail buck in a woodland scene and there is a grizzly bear on trigger bow. Trigger bow has the engraver initials “RD”. Mounted in very highly figured, presentation quality, Monte Carlo, 1-pc walnut stock with rosewood forend tip & grip cap having a spectacularly carved & checkered foregrip & wrist with a Browning embossed black composition buttplate. It has sling swivel studs & receiver is mounted with Redfield Jr. style scope bases. Accompanied by an Ithaca Centennial shotgun black leatherette covered shotgun hard case. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching. Unfortunately this is a salt gun with some fine rust pits under the forestock & along right side of chamber area of bbl & below ejection port, none of which shows above wood. Otherwise the rifle is as new, probably unfired, retaining virtually all of its bright orig factory finish to both metal & wood with only very minor storage & handling marks.
