Cal. 12GA. 28″ bbl matted, tapered concave rib, silver front and brass center siding beads. 2-3/4″ chambers IMP.CYL/MOD. chokes, ejectors and dbl triggers, top rib is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS MERIDEN CT. U.S.A. TITANIC STEEL”. The “1” size frame is engraved in typical D style with pointer on left side, setter on right side, 4 pheasants on trigger plate, ribbon on each side marked “PARKER BROS.” with balance a fine foliate arabesque scroll. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, checkered side panels with spear drop points, checkered straight grip, Pachmayr vented recoil pad, blank gold initial oval, checkered splinter forend. Bore diameter: left -.732, right -.732. Bore restrictions: left -.024, right -.015. Wall thickness: left -.027, right -.029. Drop at heel:2-5/8″, drop at comb:1-5/8″. Weight:6 lbs. 14 oz. LOP 13-7/8″. The book Parker Gun Identification and Serialization identify as grade T13 which is D grade with titanic steel bbls, ejectors, straight grip, 12ga. with 28″ bbls. Accompanied with unmarked leg of mutton case. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retain 95% of a factory quality restored blue finish with normal light nicks & dings and a couple small rub spots, faint rubbing on bottom from forend. Receiver retains 45-50% orig case colors, strong on sides and protected areas, bottom of frame is silver patina, trigger guard has flaked and worn to 30% orig blue mixing with silver & brown patina. Stock is sound with slightly worn checkering, some minor nicks & dings and retains fine oil finish, blending with hand-worn patina. Forend is sound with slightly worn checkering, some minor nicks & dings, tiny chips on top edge and retains oil finish blending with hand-worn patina. Mechanics are crisp with automatic safety, strong ejectors and nice shiny bores. Case is in good condition with broken carrying strap, broken lock strap and scuffing to edges of top & bottom. 4-39863 BDT42 (4,000-6,000)
