*LOT OF THREE REMINGTON SEMI-AUTO RIFLES. (1) Law Enforcement Model 8. Cal. 30 Rem. SN 40283. Blue finish with 22″ shrouded bbl, dovetail front sight & semi-buckhorn rear sight. Mounted with straight grain American walnut with semi-schnable tipped forearm & straight stock with Remington UMC hard rubber buttplate. Accompanied by a Peace Officer Equipment Company detachable 15-rd magazine with engraved matching serial number. Also accompanied by an undated letter from Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office, Tallulah, LA identifying this rifle & stated that it had been in the arms vault of Sheriff’s Office beyond living memory, at least as early as 1952. It was transferred to consignor in 1998. CONDITION: Good to very good. Overall retains 65-70% thin orig blue with magazine 40-50% mottled blue. Wood is sound with oil stained wrist & about 75% varnish. Good mechanics, strong frosty bore. (2) Model 81. Cal. 35 Rem. SN 55127. Standard grade with 22″ bbl, silver bead front sight & flat top adjustable rear sight. It has nicely figured wood with rnd forearm & pistol grip stock with Remington alloy buttplate. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retains about all of its orig blue & most of its orig varnish with light nicks & scratches. Crisp mechanics, bright shiny bore. (3) Model 81. Cal. 300 Sav. SN 43002.
