*FABULOUS A.H. FOX XHE UPGRADE BY CSM. SN 27860. Cal 12 ga. 30″ bbls, matted tapered concave rib, sgl silver sighting bead, IMP.CYL/FULL chokes, 2-3/4″ chambers, ejectors, and dbl triggers. Top of right bbl is marked “CHROMOX FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL” and left “MADE BY A.H. FOX GUN CO. PHILA. PA. U.S.A.” Chamber end of each bbl has 2-3/4″ wedge of beautiful oak leaf and acorn scroll. The “H” frame has been beautifully enhanced to “X” grade with bold oak leaf scroll with shaded backgrounds, left side with 2 ruffed grouse and arching “ANSLEY H. FOX” over top, and 2 woodcock on right side with arching Ansley H. Fox, circle with stalking fox on center of bottom. The superb upgrade to “X” grade was carried out by “Galazan Fox Division of Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing”, and this is backed up by a company invoice dated 5-26, 1995 identifying the above work. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, sculpted checkered side panels, checkered rnd knob pistol grip with ribbon, Silvers style recoil pad, checkered splintered forend with ribbon and ebony schnabel tipped insert. Wood work was also executed by CSM. Bore diameter: left -.738, right -.738. Bore restrictions: left -.044, right -.015. Wall thickness: left -.026, right -.025. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 8lbs. 14oz. LOP 15″. CONDITION: Extremely fine as custom upgraded. Bbls retain nearly all of their fine factory quality custom restored blue finish with a few minor handling marks and faint rub mark on bottom from forend. Receiver retains virtually all of its fine factory quality restored case color finish. Stock is sound with sharp checkering, a few minor light handling and use marks, and retains virtually all of its fine, factory quality finish. Forend is sound with sharp checkering, a couple small handling marks and retains virtually all of its fine, factory quality finish.
