*RARE REMINGTON MODEL 25 SLIDE ACTION CARBINE. Cal. 32 WCF (32-20). SN 22936. Blued finish, 18” rnd bbl, steel buttplate with “UMC” logo, rare shielded carbine sight, factory swivel bases, rare bullet shaped forearm & straight stock with sling eyes. This rifle is pictured on p. 291 of The Guns of Remington, Madaus & RSA. Accompanied by the two label copies from The Cody Museum Remington Exhibit. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retains about 98% orig finish to metal with a fine restored finish to wood. Slight marring on takedown screw slot, side of rear sight shield turning plum. Some tiny nicks on left side of grip area. Mechanics & bore are both extremely fine. This rare carbine is rarely encountered in this condition. 4-57932 ET58 (1,500-2,500)
