PARKER AAH GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 82343. Fabulous highest grade Parker, built on a #2 frame with 30” bbls, choked FULL/IMPMOD, with tapered matted rib & single bead, engraved with the maker’s name and “Whitworth Steel”. It has exceptionally figured French or Circassian walnut with elaborate, extra coverage fleur-de-lis pattern checking on the forearm and wrist. It has raised checkered side panels with raised carved fleur-de-lis. It is fitted with gold plated dbl triggers & extractors and the grip cap has a large oval gold initial plate. The stock is 13-1/2” over a skeleton buttplate. The receiver and all of the metal attached to the receiver are elaborately engraved by “A. Gough”. It is signed under the front of the trigger guard, “A Gough Designer & Engraver”. The engraving is very fine foliate & floral patterns and has the name “Parker Bros.” incorporated within the engraving patterns on each side. The patent date is engraved on the forearm opening lever and the engraving patterns extend about 2” over the chambers with a narrow engraved band at the muzzle. The fences have two raised ribs at the back edges that blend into a third that extends below the bbls. The water table has usual markings with grade “7” indicated. The trigger guard is stamped with the serial number on the inside and the serial number and grade are stamped in the stock trigger guard channel. Weight 7 lbs. 13.4 oz. Drop at the heel 2-1/2”, at the comb 1-3/4”. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as restored. Retaining virtually all its fine rust blue on the bbls and subtle case colors on the receiver. Wood is sound and retains a wonderful hand rubbed oil finish with one or two minor handling and storage marks. Brilliant shiny bores. 4-51210 JR822 (25,000-35,000)
