FINE PEKING GLASS DEEP INDIGO CENSOR, QIANLONG MARK. 19th century with four-character Qianlong mark (1736-1795). This round example with conforming lid having a large single dragon finial. The base with opposing lion’s head handles raised on three cylindrical legs. The deep indigo glass with silver “stars” or flecks; natural inclusions within the glass. SIZE: 8-1/2″ h x 7″ dia. PROVENANCE: From the Private Collection of the Grand Niece of the Last Emperor Puyi (Reign 1906-1917) of the Qing Dynasty. Granddaughter of Puji and Great-Great Granddaughter of the Dowager Empress Cixi (Reign 1861-1908). CONDITION: Very good. 9-22140 (3,000-5,000)
