Oil on wood panel interior scene shows a man seated in refined outfit reading a document beside a table with another man holding a pipe. Another man is opposite standing with military outfit including sword, leggings, spurs, etc. Signed lower left in the rung of the chair “E Meissonier”. Housed in what may be its original magnificent gilt gesso decorated frame with double wide liners. SIZE: 17-1/2″ x 13″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-98561 (14,000-18,000)
