MASSIVE STEUBEN PEGASUS LAMP BASE. Base begins with a citron colored ground and is decorated with a Pegasus in motion with clouds and art deco style suns in darkened hues. Decorating this acid cutback design is a layer of gold Aurene glass that has a molten effect. The glass portion of this base is monogrammed “G.B.WARD”. The large bulbous glass body is supported by an ornate metal openwork foot and decorative hardware supporting three sockets with three very unusual matching pulls. SIZE: 31-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent, with minor wear to decoration, straw-line to upper section of base and wear to hardware. Needs to be rewired. 5-69942 (1,000-1,500)
