CHRIS HUNTINGTON (American, 1938-) “EAST FROM MAYFLOWER HILL”. Oil on masonite colorful scene shows a panoramic view overlooking trees, grass, woods to low to hills. A typed and signed history of the timing of this painting is attached to the reverse. It indicates that this painting was executed in the Spring of 1964 while Chris Huntington was Curator for the Colby Art Museum and after getting out of work, some days he would paint local scenes of which he states this was the largest he had done at that time. Signed bottom right “Huntington, 64″. Housed in a gilt wood frame with linen liner. SIZE: 22″ x 40”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-21483 (1,000-1,500)
