ANTIQUE MARBLE BUST OF A “BELLE EPOQUE” WOMAN TOGETHER WITH ALABASTER PEDESTAL. Late 19th century. Modeled in a flirtatious manner with upswept flowing hair, a bowed ribbon around her neck, wearing a ruffle-collared dress embossed in flower heads. Indistinctly signed on back. Accompanied by a spiral turned pedestal embellished with leaf tips. The square swivel top with canted corners on an octagonal plinth. SIZE: 24-1/2” h x 14”w; pedestal 43”h. CONDITION: Bust with some discolored pitting around the collar, slight roughness to a flower head. Otherwise, very good. The pedestal in overall good condition with minor chips and wear. 9-94648 (2,500-3,500)
