CHINESE PATINATED BRASS INCENSE BURNER. 19th century. This nice, unusual marked example of rectangular form with a hinged carrying handle. The reticulated domed lid decorated overall with cast brass figures of treed landscapes with pagodas, sampan, and fishermen beneath cloudbands. Beneath the base is the maker’s mark of Mingzi Zhang. SIZE: Overall 8-1/2″ h x 10-1/2″ l x 7-1/3″ w. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Structurally very good with oxidized and weathered surfaces overall.
