*IVER JOHNSON/AMERICAN HISTORICAL FOUNDATION WWII COMMEMORATIVE M1 CARBINE WITH CASE. SN WW0857. Cal. 30 Carb. Standard carbine with 18″ bbl, winged front sight & ramp rear sight with flat bolt & flip safety mounted in a highly finished, nicely grained uncheckered American walnut stock with standard oval oiler cut & fitted with a bbl band without bayonet lug. Right side of buttstock is inlaid with a gold & black cloissone medallion. Front sight, rear sight & other small pieces are gold plated with balance a high polish blue. Op rod has a small American eagle & is inscribed “WORLD WAR II COMMEMORATIVE M1 CARBINE”. Accompanied by its orig walnut glass top presentation case with brass plaque in right front.
