*AUTO-ORDNANCE MODEL 1927A1 AMERICAN HISTORICAL FOUNDATION KOREAN WAR COMMEMORATIVE THOMPSON SEMI-AUTO CARBINE WITH CASE. SN KW1125. Cal. 45 ACP. Usual Thompson configuration with 18″ rnd bbl including Cutts Compensator. Rear half of bbl has cooling fins. Mounted with very highly finished uncheckered walnut-stained hardwood with rectangular forearm that has grasping grooves, a grooved pistol grip & detachable shoulder stock. Forearm & buttstock have sling loops containing a black military style sling with brass fittings. Left side of frame has usual manufacturer’s name & address & patent numbers plus the American Historical Foundation information. Right side of frame has an inscribed, gold washed 48-star American flag at rear edge & a small medallion at front edge inscribed “KOREAN SERVICE”. Center is inscribed “KOREAN WAR COMMEMORATIVE THOMPSON / LEST WE FORGET 25 JUNE 1950 – 27 JULY 1953 / IN DEFENSE OF THE PRINCIPLES OF THE FREE WORLD”. Right side of grip has a blue, red & black cloissone medallion and each side of the stock, at receiver is inlaid with a blue, red & black medallion. Bbl & receiver are high polish blue with gold appointments. Accompanied by its orig glass top, gray velvet lined oak case. CONDITION: New & unfired, case is also new. 4-35481 JR434 (2,000-3,000)
