RICHARD FRANZ KOLLORSZ (American 1900-1983) “THE UPPER CUYAMA 1943”. Oil on canvas board California scene shows a dirt road winding down to valley floor with large mountain range beyond. Upper Cuyama is an area north of Santa Barbara, CA. Signed lower left with initials and dated “43”. On reverse is title and inscription in artist hand indicating it was painted on his first outing with his family on Easter of 1943. Housed in what appears to be its original carved and painted frame. SIZE: 12″ x 16″. CONDITION: Very minor scrape in upper left. Very good. 9-98416 (800-1,200)
