OUTSTANDING LARGE PAIR OF PORCELAIN FIGURES OF A MAN AND A WOMAN. The 30” t man has elaborate fancy costume with waistcoat, belted vest, wide brim hat with ribbon. He holds a bouquet of flowers to his chest and holds a book and a cape in his other hand. Bottom impressed with 765 over an A. CONDITION: Very good, possibly a small part of bouquet chipped. The woman in wonderful flower decorated dress has hanging cross pendant and wears a veil with flower wreath top. She has a pink waist ribbon with spray of flowers. She holds a book in her hand. Bottom is marked 763 over an A. PROVENANCE: Estate of Maria M. Viveiros, New Bedford, Massachusetts. SIZE: 28-1/2” h. CONDITION: Small chips off flowers, generally very good. 9-28807 (1000-2000)
