HAYLEY LEVER (American, 1876-1958) “SAILING AT MARBLEHEAD”. Outstanding large unframed oil on canvas harbor scene shows a number of colorful sailboats on wavy colorful ocean with sails reflecting in the water. The backdrop is a house lined peninsula ending in a red church-like structure. Signed lower left. On reverse of dust board is a Milch Galleries New York label with title and artist. SIZE: 30″ x 40″. PROVENANCE: Recently found in Central Maine. CONDITION: Lower half has some small areas of paint loss/chips, in need of cleaning and light touch up. Will brighten up after cleaning. Otherwise good to very good. 9-98746 (8,000-12,000)
