CUSTOM SINGLE SHOT TARGET RIFLE. Cal. .22 Donaldson Wasp. SN 26446. Fine target rifle built on a 1925 era kKettner droplock action that is beautifully engraved in Germanic style with two chamois in a mountain scene on the left side and a bugling stag in a forest scene on the right side. It has matching foliate engraving over the top of the receiver and down the top tang, top of the breechblock, lever and lower tang. It has dbl set triggers and an unusual thumb safety on the top tang. It also has a mortised peep sight built into the top tang. The wood is nicely grained American walnut, uncheckered, with long squared forearm with reproduction cartridge head inlaid near the tip and pistol grip stock with palm swell and shallow cheek piece, 13-3/4″ over an old black pad. Accompanied by about 300-rnds of formed brass, a set of Redding form dies, a Wilson die and a homemade set of reloading dies. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains most all of its orig bright custom finish and the receiver silvered case colors with some faded case colors on the lever. Wood is sound and retains most of its orig custom finish.
