AFTER ALEXANDER GARDNER (American, 1821-1882) ABRAHAM LINCOLN. A framed copy of Abraham Lincoln photographed on Monday, April 10th, 1865, four days before his assassination. Housed in a modern silver gilt molded wood frame with white matte. PROVENANCE: Attached to back is a typed note from Marvin Sadik indicating that this photograph was made from the original single print that was made of this photograph. It was done in 1993 for Edmund S. Muskie. The original print resides at the National Portrait Gallery and was acquired in 1981. SIGHT SIZE: 17-1/2” x 15”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-29715 (150-250)
