RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1885 SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 38 WCF. SN 76158. 28” oct No. 3 bbl. An additional number, 142, has been stamped on bottom of bbl ahead of forearm and on tail of lower tang. Factory letter verifies current configuration of this gun. CONDITION: Excellent overall. 95% blue on bbl with minor dents and scratches, worn on sharp edges. Brilliant casehardening colors on action. Stock retains about 95% of the varnish with minor dents and scratches. Bore is bright with light scattered pitting. Mechanically fine. 4-30798 FS265 (5,000-6,000)
