RARE WILKINSON SPORTING RIFLE. SN 15. Cal. 44. 26” oct bbl. Marked “J. D. WILKINSON’S / PATENT / AUG. 29. 1871.” on top of the bbl. This rifle has a rotating breechblock with a handle on the upper tang. The hammer has been modified or replaced. CONDITION: Rust brown patina overall; wood has been lightly cleaned and reoiled; mechanically good. 4-54289 FS62 (500-1,000)
