EARLY WOODEN BOX CONTAINING A SET OF BULLET MAKING TOOLS FOR A TISDEL RIFLE. Lot consists of two original single cavity bronze bullet molds in 40 cal. and so marked on the side. Also included are three different mold base plug tools, along with a very well made bullet swage and two other swaging type tools. All are marked “40 cal.” and one of the tools stamped with a “4” is also marked “L.W. Tisdel”. Also accompanying is a brass & steel bullet starter, a modern lyman picket ball mold and what appears to be, the original stamping die for paper cross patches. There is a small brass tin of greased paper patches. The box is very well made of pine with early wire hinged lid and a brass handle on the front. Also included are other small tools of unknown application and a quantity of cast bullets. CONDITION: Molds are fine. Large swaging tool is very fine and the three smaller tools are pitted and worn but appear fine. Box is fine. 4-50914 JR1139 (1,000-2,000)
