ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Accompanied by a S&W Factory Letter confirming the gun as a .38 Single Action Third Model shipped from the factory 5/24/1900 to Schoverling, Daly & Gale, Co, NYC. It is likely that the Retailer would have assembled the cased combination set with the .22 cal barrel at their facility, as was a common practice.

*RARE CASED SMITH & WESSON 2ND MODEL DA REVOLVER 2-BARREL SET. SN 5752. Cal. 38 S&W and 22. Nickel finish with 3-1/4″ keyhole shaped 38 cal. bbl, half moon front sight & 2-line bbl address with last patent date “1880”. Mounted with 2-pc hard rubber S&W embossed grips that are numbered to this revolver. Spare bbl is 10″, keyhole shaped, in cal. 22, with target sights. Top of rib has usual markings including “MODEL OF 91” and last patent date of “1880”. Accompanied by a calf skin covered, rnd corner, yellow doeskin lined casing recessed in bottom for revolver with short bbl, spare 10″ bbl and also contains a brass tool kit containing three different sizes of screwdriver blades and a spare, unnumbered pair of S&W embossed extended hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus, all matching except 10″ bbl which is completely unnumbered. Both bbls & revolver appear to be new & unfired. Both sets of grips are crisp & new. Box is sound with numerous external nicks & scratches with some minor losses to finish. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. Tool kit is fine. 4-39860 JR46 (3,000-5,000)
