WAYNE BEAM MORRELL (American, 1923-) “NEAR JEFFERSONVILLE, VERMONT”. Colorful oil on masonite landscape scene shows an arched stone bridge with two figures over a winding river leading to two farm houses nestled in a valley below hills segmented with colorful fields. Some remnants of the late snows but indicating spring is here. Signed lower left. Housed in a gilt modern frame with linen liner. On back of masonite is written by the artist with title, date (April 18, 1980). Also “One of my finest sunlit approaching spring paintings”. SIZE: 22″ x 28″.
