RENAISSANCE REVIVAL PATINATED METAL AND CAST-BRASS ASTRAL LAMP. Third quarter 19th century. The reservoir with cast-brass floral band mounted to the cylindrical standard mounted with turned brass base and capital, raised on a square plinth terminating in brass disk feet. The adjustable arm marked “CRYSTAL LIGHT PAT. APR. 26. 1871. SEPT. 24. 1872”. The spherical shade clear-to-frosted with etched diamonds and stars. Retains original burner. SIZE: 17-1/4″ h. of lamp. 6-1/2″ h. of shade. PROVENANCE: From a fine New York collection. CONDITION: Very good overall. All appears original, including chimney and shade. 9-93243 (600-1,000)
