OUTSTANDING MAHOGANY CARVED PIER MIRROR. Rococo influenced piece has a rounded top, rectangular beveled edge mirror. Frame with decorative molding and carved elements has an outstanding curved crest having large carved scallop, mans profile and two lion heads with other scroll and leaf carving. The shelf base 13” off the floor is supported by two legs with heavy carving, serpentine shaped with leaf carved front. PROVENANCE: Estate of Maria M. Viveiros, New Bedford, Massachusetts. SIZE: 102” h x 32” w x 12” d. CONDITION: Very good, some spots in mirror. 9-28768 (1000-1500)
