TWO CHINESE EXPORT PLATTERS IN BLUE AND WHITE DECORATION. Second half 18th century. The first a rectangular tray with canted and notched corners depicting feeding birds in a field within a scrolling border of flowers and butterflies, all in underglaze-blue. The second an example of similar form decorated with a fenced garden scene with birds and insects. SIZE: 13″ l x 10″ w. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Structurally very good with normal and expected wear to edges, colors remain vibrant. 9-23281 (800-1,200)
