ROYAL VIENNA PLATE. Royal Vienna plate is hand painted with a scene of two horseman lifting partially clad maidens onto their horses with cupid looking on. The plate rim is decorated with a central mauve band bordered by a blue band at top and bottom and gilded garlands throughout. Marked on the backside with blue beehive mark under glaze the plate is housed in a contemporary octagonal plate frame. SIZE: 9-1/2″ d. Frame is 13″ across. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with some minor wear to the finish on the frame. 5-66787 (800-1,200)
