STERLING SILVER FLATWARE SERVICE FOR 12. 24 teaspoons, 12 salad forks, 12 luncheon forks, 12 dinner forks, 12 iced tea spoons, 12 soup spoons, 12 tablespoons, 12 butter knifes, 24 knives, a small serving spoon, a large carving set with knife sharpener, a small carving knife and fork, a large pair of sugar tongs, a small pair of sugar tongs that do not match set, and six individual salt & pepper shakers. Each piece is marked with three hallmarks; a crown within a circle, a “W” with an arrow through it and a rearing lion, “Sterling” and “A. Stowell Co. Inc”. Each piece is monogrammed “PB”. Total weight is 149.7 troy ounces, not including knives, carving sets, or salt & peppers. The set is housed in a fine mahogany silver chest with brass plate inscribed “P-B September 5th 1917”. Chest also has inset brass handles. SIZE: 18-1/8″ w x 18-1/8″ d x 5-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Silver is all very good to excellent. Case has some minor scuffs and scratches. No key. 7-70561 (1,500-2,000)
