Revised: 3/11/2010

Correction: The letters “MSTR” on the left side rail stand for “Martz Safety Toggle Release” and not an abbreviation for “Master” as stated in the catalog.

*RARE JOHN MARTZ CUSTOM LUGER PISTOL. SN 5007. Cal. 45 ACP. All bright metal, probably stainless, with 8″ tapered rnd bbl, dovetailed front sight and fixed rear sight at back of toggle. Chamber is marked “41” and toggle link is marked “JVM” in an oval. Left side rail, in front of sideplate, is marked “MSTR”, presumably indicating that this is the master for subsequent like items. Left side rail, under sideplate, is stamped “JVM” in an oval and “32” in an oval. Mounted with full checkered walnut grips and has a machined steel wood base magazine that has the initials “JVM” in an oval on the base. Bottom of bbl is marked “45 ACP”. Inside the left grip is stamped “GKS 15 APRIL 1992” and inside the right grip is stamped “GEO. K. SARKISIAN”. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus, most parts are matching numbered except bolt, toggle & toggle link. Firing pin is matching numbered, grips are unnumbered. Retains virtually all of Mr. Martz’ bright white finish with light straw colors on the trigger, magazine release, lock bolt, safety & ejector. Magazine is equally fine. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. 4-39280 JR288 (4,500-6,500)
