*SCARCE byf (MAUSER) 44 POLICE P-38 SEMI-AUTO PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. SN 2369. Cal. 9 mm. Scarce 2-tone Mauser P-38 with 5″ bbl, blue finish slide with phosphate finish bbl & frame with brown composition grips. Right side of slide has Waffenampt eagle/”WaA 135″ and eagle “L” proofs. Frame also has “WaA 135” proof & left side of bbl lug has the eagle “N” and “WaA 135” proofs. Accompanied by its orig “WaA 135” proofed magazine with an orig Nazi eagle proofed black P-38 holster & a spare “WaA 359” proofed magazine. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine, all matching, appears to be new & unfired retaining all of its orig factory finish. Grips & orig magazine are equally new. Holster is crisp with only minor flexing on toe. Spare magazine retains about 99% orig blue. Altogether a rare & scarce, complete Police P-38 rig. 4-36174 JR235 (2,000-3,000)
