WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE ANTIQUE CENTER BOWL. Very lovely Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre antique center bowl is decorated on the exterior with the Woodland Elves V pattern depicting elves playing amongst the trees, birds flying against a midnight lustre background and a tall gold gilt tree with a birds nest and chicks with an arched bridge in the background. The interior of the bowl is decorated with Woodland Elves II pattern which depicts gold gilt trees that extend from the bottom of the bowl and form a leafy and floral border on the inside rim of the bowl. The open panels created between each stand of trees alternate with a flying fairy and a spider descending from its web. The vase is signed twice on the side “MJ” and also signed on the underside with a gold Portland vase mark, “Wedgwood England”. SIZE: 8-3/4″ dia x 5-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with some minor wear to gold gilt decoration on the interior bottom of the bowl. 5-69671 (7,500-10,000)
