OUTSTANDING CUTWORK, WATERCOLOR AND CALLIGRAPHY MEMORIAL BY E. BLACKMAN. Rectangular cutwork picture having a central monument with the following inscription in pen “Stephen Anson. Son of Oliver W. & Lucinda Crocker Born April 29 A.D. 1841 Died June 3 A.D. 1842. This lovely babe so young and fair called home by early doom just came to show how sweet a flower in paradise could bloom”. Beside the monument is a willow tree with bird and standing beside is a woman with blonde hair, blue and red dress holding an anchor. The border with cemetery and gravestones, crosses and brick doorways. Bottom right signed in pen “By E. Blackman”. Housed in an early wood frame in gold and black. SIZE: 13-3/4” x 16”.
