WAYNE BEAM MORRELL (American, 1923-) “THE LONE DESCENDANT, ROCKPORT, MASS.”. Oil on canvas scene shows an old barn set amongst high grass and trees. The farmer stands out beside one of the buildings as shore birds float in the sky above. Signed lower right. Housed in a good molded wood frame with linen & white liner. On reverse that artist has inscribed “Painting of Nugent’s Barn off Nugent Stretch Road between Rockport & Gloucester Mass, Painting in March 1964 by Wayne Morrell”. Also on reverse is a label from Newman Galleries, Philadelphia. SIZE: 22″ x 28″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-25583 (1,500-2,500)
