CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN TEAPOT APPLIED WITH FLOWERS AND BIRDS. 19th century. Similar to Meissen, the bulbous teapot applied overall with dense white flower heads overlaid with blooming roses and with yellow birds on opposing sides. Spout and handle gilt decorated simulating tree bark. Marked beneath base with monogram in underglaze blue incorporating “R”. SIZE: 4-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: With some losses to leaves. Additionally a loss to bird’s beak. Overall good. 9-23332 (600-900)
